I remember the cross on Calvary’s hill
Where an innocent man hung, bruised and still
He bled and died a death so grim
Yet bore my shame, my sin—my every whim
Disease and transgressions
He took as His own
Silent and scarred, yet never alone
For love unmeasured
He paid the price
A gift of salvation—beyond all sacrifice
Oh, priceless grace!
Unbought, yet mine
A soul redeemed by love divine
Where death once claimed its heavy toll
There Yahshua fought and won my soul
I often wonder—
what did it cost?
To rescue me
so nearly lost
Yet no gold nor gem could ever repay
The gift Yahweh gave that glorious day
Bestowed a treasure I never deserved
By mercy deep
my heart was stirred
As time rolls on like shifting sand
I’ll testify with lifted hands:
That freedom’s mine—forever freed
For whom the Son sets free is freed indeed
With hope that lives and will not fade
I walk in life that He has made.
No longer chained, no longer bound,
His peace, His rule
His rule
in me abounds
The yokes once forged in pain and lies
Are shattered now beneath His skies
For life eternal—my thanks will rise
A fragrant praise that fills the skies
Though once my sins were crimson stained
The blood of Yahshua—pure—remained.
It washed me clean
made me whole
Restored the fragments of my soul
So now I live in grateful light
Embraced by truth, upheld by might
